Glow Theatre Group is an exciting independent drama project for young people aged between 8 and 18. At Glow, we give children as many opportunities as possible to get up on stage and perform. We produce a number of full length plays and musicals each year, as well as training our actors for festivals and competitions. Our Glow actors are always working towards their next performance, building skills, confidence, friendships and happy memories at the same time!

We Will Rock You
by Queen and Ben Elton
The time is the future, in a place that was once called Earth. Globalisation is complete.
Everywhere, the kids watch the same movies, wear the same fashions and think the same thoughts.
It’s a safe, happy, Ga Ga world. Unless you’re a rebel. Unless you want to Rock......

Olivia
By Malcom Sircom

This innovative show, set in Victorian times, traces the steps of Olivia, from downtrodden orphan to star of the stage. On her journey to the bright lights of London, she is befriended by Eliza Doolittle and the flower girls, and, after a series of adventures becomes a singer in a new Gilbert and Sullivan show, thanks to the unlikely assistance of Fagin and The Artful Dodger, with splendid cameos from George Bernard Shaw, Ebenezer Scrooge, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson.

William Golding's
Lord of the Flies

Freed from civilisation and adult structure, the boys
marooned on the island must make a choice...
behave peacefully and work together or descend
into savagery. What would you do? This is a chilling and thought provoking version of this classic tale.

Now in our 8th successful year, Glow has produced over 30 musicals and plays, has students entering the acting profession and has won Best Youth Production at the Southern Counties Drama Festival three times....along with many other awards such as Best Director, Best Youth Actor, Best Youth Actress, Best Set Design, and Overall Festival Winners in 2013. We have nurtured potential, developed skills, seen confidence grow and have had a whole lot of fun in the process. We have a dedicated team of coaches with a wide range of talents and skills, giving huge opportunities for our young people to enjoy 'treading the boards'. It is a delight to see so many of our Glow actors creating memories and making friendships that will last a lifetime.

At Glow Theatre Group, our young people

Learn a wide range of dramatic and performance skills, and experience a range of theatrical genre

Grow enormously in confidence and self esteem

Work as part of a team to produce and act in a variety of full length plays, cabarets and festival pieces!
