"The Pirates of Penrith" Southern Counties Drama Festival February 2009
February
2009 saw Glow Theatre Group enter their first competative piece in the
Southern Counties Drama Festival. With enthusiasm and hard work, our
young actors produced the 50 minute dramatic story of The Pirates of
Penrith in just 6 weeks, with over 30 children on stage! We were delighted with the
adjudicator's helpful and enlightening comments on our entry, which ranged from tips for staging
and production, as well as the further development of our actors'
skills. This was a high pressure environment, and the group pulled it
off with aplomb! We have learned so much from this experience, and look
forward to our next Festival entry!
